Pain conquered; academic ability improved
Several years ago I was employed in a position that required me to be on my feet and active quite a bit. One day I began to feel much pain in both feet. It was difficult to walk at times. But I persisted in walking, and refused to accept this condition as part of my genuine spiritual selfhood as the perfect child of God. The perfection of God and man is the basis of thought and healing in Christian Science.
I daily prayed to realize more of my spiritual perfection, and affirmed the truth concerning God's, Spirit's, allness and the nothingness of any evil or problem, such as pain in matter. I thought about not wearing highheeled shoes, but I realized that doing this would be treating evil, or error, as though it actually had power, which in reality it did not. So I refused to do this and continued to pray. As I daily prayed about the problem, I noticed a lessening of the painful condition. Soon a complete healing followed.
