Samuel and Saul
INTRODUCTION TO THE BIBLE
DID you know that the Bible tells us about many children and young people who did great things because they loved God and listened to what God was telling them to do?
One of these children was Samuel. You can read about him in the two Bible books that carry his name. Here is his story.
Samuel's mother, Hannah, could not have children for a long time. She was very sad because of that. One day, Hannah prayed to God with all her heart. She promised that if she could have a son, she would make sure he would spend his life serving God. Her prayer was answered. Hannah had a baby boy and called him Samuel.
