A boy turns to God in prayer

It was the day after a track meet, so we were having a fun day during track practice, and we had just finished doing an obstacle course relay. We were picking up the hurdles to put them away. A friend picked up a hurdle, but my leg got caught in it. I twisted my knee as I fell down. At first I thought everything was fine, but when I tried to walk I couldn't take a step without it hurting lots.

I started to pray to God. I prayed to know that I was OK because I am God's perfect child and therefore I couldn't be hurt.

Teachers and coaches came over and helped me to the building. By then they were giving me lots of instructions on how to help my knee heal faster. Then they all went to a track team meeting, so I had time to pray without being interrupted. About that time my mom came to pick me up since practice was over. Mom and one of the coaches helped me get into the car. I told Mom what had happened and how I had already started to pray. Mom prayed with me the whole way home. She talked with me about my relationship with God. I told Mom that I wanted to rely on prayer for my healing, not ice and time. Mom pointed out that the coaches were giving me the best advice they knew and that we could be grateful for their caring. And she reminded me that spiritual laws were controlling me, not any material laws.
