Woman's rights: important for women and men
Freedom—it's not an issue of gender.
EXEMPTION FROM CONTROL OF OTHERS
The milestones women have reached in this century—economically, politically, personally, religiously—would probably make Susan B. Anthony and her band of female freedom fighters proud.
Yet they might be quick to point out the long road still ahead before gender equality is fully achieved. For example, girls in Afghanistan are still being pulled from schools, since "they don't need education" (International Women's Conference, 1997).
