NEVER WITHOUT INSPIRATION
Artists and writers sometimes complain about how difficult it can be to find inspiration. Ask them what inspiration really is, and they seem hard-pressed to come up with an answer. At least a few seem to believe that inspiration is an unattainable thing "out there."
This isn't actually true, because God—the source of inspiration—is ever present. God eternally provides the spiritual light that illumines human thought.
I once had a particularly tough writing assignment and had very little time to complete it. I felt that I needed inspiration badly, but seemed unable to find any. The more I worked at finding inspiration, the farther away it seemed to be! Finally, in sheer exasperation, I quietly asked God, "What am I doing wrong?"
