"Let the earth bring forth grass"*

Be as the grass ...
which when stepped upon,
springs up again—
unpretentious, yielding—
fresh for the green of His morning.

With the dawning in thought
of God as the only originator,
we bow as grass
before His perfection;
and begin to learn at last
something of our own true self
—in Him—
as spiritual reflection.
