DIVINE HARMONY AND INTEGRITY LIVED
At one point a builder put up a new home for sale and listed it with several competing real estate firms, including mine. I found a buyer and made the sale.
About a week after the transaction had been placed in escrow, however, the buyer told me that another broker had listed the property at a lower price. He demanded to meet with the builder and me immediately. When we met, the buyer confronted the builder, accusing him of duplicity in quoting two prices on the property. The builder adamantly denied this. It looked as though they might actually come to blows.
I didn't say a word, but prayed, recalling statements from Science and Health, including these: "Outside the material sense of things, all is harmony" (p. 489); and "A dishonest position is far from Christianly scientific" (p. 448). These helped me see that in the only real creation—God's infinite, spiritual creation—only harmony and integrity exist. I applied these truths to these two individuals who I knew were created in the image and likeness of God and, therefore, must actually show forth only harmony and honesty.
