Health that's immune from trouble
You have a sure defense against disease.
To The Issues of contagion and immunization, Christian Science brings a strong and radical approach that is entirely practical.
In understanding the subject more clearly, a good start is to avoid any confusion or uncertainty about the nature of health. Believing that health is merely physical well-being to be preserved by material procedures is an unhealthy mistake. The Christian Science view, distinguished from the conventional medical concept, is "The true consciousness is the true health" (Mary Baker Eddy, Miscellaneous Writings, p. 298).
The way we think, what we expect, is such an important factor in maintaining and defending health. A beginning point for thinking more accurately about ourselves, and for staying healthy, is the knowledge that there is one kind of true consciousness, the divine kind, affirming the perpetual presence of God, or the infinite, divine Mind. There is no trepidation of uncertainty in Mind, no thought of decay, suffering, or decline. But there is the unchanging consciousness of good, which is the substance of true health.
