Someone asked me to approve a membership application. What do I need to do?

What a joy for a member of The Mother Church to support those who also want to become members! As an approver, you'll want to confirm that the applicant:

• loves the laws of God;

• studies and practices the teachings in the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy;

• meets the requirements for membership outlined in the Manual of The Mother Church on pages 34-39;

• follows the special instructions for filling out the application on pages 109-119.

After an authorized teacher of Christian Science countersigns for you, the teacher mails the application to the Clerk of The Mother Church. The teacher should know you as a loyal Mother Church member, but does not need to know the applicant. Teachers are listed in the directory of The Christian Science Journal.
