The job stability you deserve
Do you work for a big, growing company? Do you work by yourself—either in your own business, in taking care of your own home, or attending school? Whether you are brand new at what you're doing or whether you are the boss, good ethical practices are foundational to long-term success. Certainly they are tied to how you feel about yourself and your job satisfaction.
Even if you're employed by a firm that's growing by leaps and bounds, there may be times when downsizing—suspending or eliminating the work in a particular area of the company—becomes inevitable as the marketplace evolves. Other times, job solidity and continuity seem tied to company politics. The people around you, fellow employees, management, competitors, customers, can make decisions, even unethical and unfair judgments, that seem to put your position in jeopardy.
Is it too radical to allow only God to guide your career and give you the stability you deserve? Your decision, when made with humility, can be a benefit both to yourself and to the people around you. God is Spirit, and God is infinite good. Goodness is what God expresses in you, and there is no reason for God to hold anything back. If God is infinite good, then there is enough to go around for everyone. We aren't scratching and competing for a limited amount of God's love and what that love ultimately provides.
