Several years ago our family lived in a high crime area
Several years ago our family lived in a high crime area. Often I was afraid to send my children to school each day, or go to sleep at night. And I was unemployed. This is where Christian Science found me.
Through the study of Christian Science, the Bible began to speak directly to my heart. One spring day while walking my little girl down our street, I noticed a house demolished to the foundation. On a closer examination, I discovered beautiful wildflowers growing from the ruins. This gave me a glimpse of God's impartial goodness and ever-presence and inspired me to expect more good in our lives. Soon our living conditions changed for the better.
The small university town we moved to brought hope and employment. Friendships erased loneliness. Colds and constant pains ceased when I understood that discomfort and sickness do not have to be tolerated, because God did not make them.
