The breath of life
"The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life" (Job 33:4). This Bible passage assures us that we are God's children and that true life comes from Him.
What comfort is ours when we accept what this verse implies! For instance, the word breath points to divine inspiration, good thoughts, which originate in Spirit, God, and are always in perfect balance. Such spiritual inspiration is infinite, and therefore we cannot be out of it or short of it.
If, as we read in the first chapter of Genesis, all that God made is very good, He could never have created any restriction on right activity. The Apostle Paul declared of God, "... he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things" (Acts 17:25). Man created in the image and likeness of God reflects divine Life, without interruption or obstruction. Man expresses the vitality of the divine and infinite Being.
