In the Manual of The Mother Church, Mrs. Eddy tells us: "'Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's' (St. Paul). Testimony in regard to the healing of the sick is highly important. More than a mere rehearsal of blessings, it scales the pinnacle of praise and illustrates the demonstration of Christ, 'who healeth all thy diseases' (Psalm 103:3)" (Art. VIII, Sect. 24).
This is my first written testimony, and it includes, too, my first ever testimony given on a Wednesday night at church. Being, like Moses, "slow of speech," I could never bring myself to speak. But on this blessed day, gratitude broke the barrier.
Prior to this healing, there had been several singularly unpleasant days or weeks. On one such day I felt a disturbance in my eye—as if something were in it. I was involved with so many obligations that I felt I hadn't time to pray in Science or call a practitioner. What folly!
