Because You are, dear Father
(I woke in the middle of the night just to think about God, and this poem came to me ...)
Thank you, God
for being what You are;
Spirit unchangeable, eternal—
All-in-all.
It's healing to know
You are ever present
and man is spiritual,
Your image, likeness.
Man is not afraid, and then at peace;
not sick, later well;
lost, later found,
like a pendulum, wavering.
As Your likeness pure,
I am at the point of perfection
because You are, dear Father.
Always, now,
I reflect You and am free!
