Spiritual healing lifting the burden of disease

PUBLIC HEALTH experts are calling it "The Global Burden of Disease" project. The name is taken from a comprehensive five-year study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and health officials from a number of countries.1

The findings contained in the ten-volume study, which was published in September, are likely to have a substantial impact on global strategies in disease prevention and on priorities in medical research. The prediction that comes out of the study is that chronic, noninfectious diseases will dramatically increase worldwide over the next quarter century. Yet the metaphysical treatment of disease today is healing all types of illness through prayer to God, and it's being practiced by many people. This is the practice of Christian Science healing—spiritual healing.

Through the cure of both infectious and noncommunicable illnesses, the healing power of God, Spirit, is proving as effective today as it was when the Psalmist gave thanks to the Lord "who healeth all thy diseases" (Ps. 103:3,emphasis added).
