Several years ago I noticed red blotches and roughness on the skin around my waist. I turned my attention away from the physical picture and held to this truth from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "The spiritual fact and the material belief of things are contradictions; but the spiritual is true, and therefore the material must be untrue" (p. 289). I prayed with other spiritual ideas as well, and in a few weeks there was not a trace of the condition.

I often declared that sight and hearing are spiritual and perfect.
