God has been my Physician all my life
God has been my Physician all my life. I am so grateful for our eternal oneness with our Father-Mother God and the spiritual strength this brings to our lives.
Two years ago, my husband and I were preparing for a trip to England when I began experiencing a bladder infection with loss of control and extreme pain. I called a Christian Science practitioner who helped me see the unreality of this picture. I prayed with citations the practitioner had referred to. This one was especially helpful: "It is man's moral right to annul an unjust sentence, a sentence never inflicted by divine authority" (Science and Health, p.381). It became clear to me that there is nothing injurious in God's kingdom, only His love for His children. God is in absolute and complete control, and nothing else is taking place.
I firmly declared: "I don't live in pain. There is no pain in me. I live in Principle. I live in Love. I live in Soul. In Truth. In Spirit. In Life." Finally, a statement from the allegory in Science and Health that refers to "the tribunal of divine Spirit" lifted my thought above the belief of life in matter: "There, Man is adjudged innocent of transgressing physical laws, because there are no such laws" (pp. 441-442). I realized I was exempt from bodily physical laws because God has never mandated them. As His beloved idea, I was subject only to His laws. The pain disappeared within hours, and in four days I was flying to England with my husband, completely free.
