Tragedy strikes. Where is God?
In the presence of tragedy come heart-wrenching questions: Why this? Why me or her, or them? People usually cry out such questions to someone in authority or to a close friend. But many cry out to God: Where are You? Why don't You step in and do something?
What many people have found comforting and true is that even in times of tragedy, whether it affects one life or thousands of lives, they can sense—can recognize very clearly, in fact—the presence and healing power of God. People up against the toughest of human circumstances have reached out to God and found that He was right there with them—tender, constant Love—ready to help.
What evidence do they point to? The evidence of spiritual healing, of divine guidance, of deep-felt comfort, of grasping something of God's loving nature, His intelligence, His law.
