One healing for which I am especially and profoundly grateful...
One healing for which I am especially and profoundly grateful occurred in 1986. I had been suffering for two days from intense pain in my kidneys, which prevented me from eating, drinking, sleeping, or even praying. Since the condition did not yield to my prayer, I went to a doctor to obtain something to relieve the pain.
His examinations showed a probable paralysis of the kidneys or a possible obstruction caused by kidney stones. The medical advice was that I should be admitted to a hospital immediately.
I declined and went home. The medication prescribed was of no help whatsoever. In addition to my prayers, I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me, and she did, with diligence and perseverance. I was able to sleep for a few hours, and woke up feeling more hopeful. I also felt that the demonstration had to be mine, and so I devoted all my time that day to reading and studying the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
