Filled with gratitude for the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science, I'd like to give the following testimony.

For forty years now I have relied successfully on Christian Science rather than medical aid to heal illness. Most recently, when I came down with apparent gallbladder inflammation and was unable to help myself, I was completely healed in a short time with the loving help of a practitioner. She pointed out to me that I must see myself as God's child—perfect. I realized I had been erroneously viewing myself as an old woman who had reached her end. I pondered deeply "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health, especially the lines "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all" (p. 468).

Over the years, I have always found healing through prayer, when faced with difficulties such as a stiff knee, a severe bladder infection, and chronic bouts of the flu. I learned to recognize my spiritual identity as good and Godlike, which corrected mistakes—for instance, that of a tendency to criticize and to have a fiery temper.

I was healed of deep grief when my husband passed on after fifty-three years of marriage by recognizing that his identity was made up of immortal qualities such as honesty, faithfulness, consideration, and happiness. And I especially recognized his humility as an admirer of nature.

I'd like to give thanks that practitioners are so ready and willing to help. Also, I'm infinitely grateful to have had class instruction in Christian Science.

I give God the glory.
