"That takes an awful lot of faith, doesn't it?"
A Friend, a member of a Protestant church, takes an active interest in knowing what other churches teach and how their members live their beliefs. She asked me about mine. I shared with her some of the basic views Christian Science presents of God, Christ Jesus, and man. I added that Christian Scientists take literally Jesus' command to heal the sick. I said I believe that God is capable of healing anyone and that His will for us all is good, so He could not allow, or want, anyone to be sick.
My friend agreed with the logic, but then said, "That takes an awful lot of faith, doesn't it?"
I was taken by surprise because I had never really thought of it that way. After a moment I said that if by faith she meant trust, then, yes, I suppose it does.
