Always enough
At a time when my family and I were concerned with meeting financial needs, an unusual incident occurred. I opened the door one day to the knock of a visitor, and was handed a fistful of currency. The caller told me that God, the Father, had told her to do it!
We knew this person, but she owed us no debt. She insisted we take the gift, and then left. Somewhat shocked, I thought, "What a genuine, unconditional show of grace." Over the years, I've decided that this happening was one way God had of assuring our family that we would always be provided for—and who were we to doubt His ability to ensure we never lacked!
God can take care of us in any number of unforeseen ways. Our need is to trust Him more, and the human, limited sense of things less. I never would have anticipated that someone would come to my door and do as this visitor had done. And it wasn't the money she gave us that had the significant impact, but the message she shared: "The Father told me to do this!"
