FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Don't be disappointed!
Good things don't just happen randomly, nor do they take place miraculously. They're the natural manifestation of God's government of man, the result of the steady operation of His law of good. It's perfectly logical for us to expect the intelligent unfoldment of good in our experience—it's in accord with divine law. The spiritual fact is that God, ever-present good, constantly guards and guides each of His beloved offspring, giving them all they need. So when it comes to finding a job, to finding our way in life, there is no reason for any of us to be disappointed or without hope. God has a special purpose for each of us as His children—with complete fulfillment.
God, divine Mind, does not play favorites, giving purpose and opportunity to one and not to another. If things don't go the way we want or expect them to in our search for the right job, it's not because He has forgotten us or is punishing us or has lost control of some part of His universe. It could be that we need a deeper trust in His perfect law and a willingness to let go of personal will and outlining.
Maybe it seems things aren't moving as fast as we think they should. We can be alert not to let impatience creep in, causing us to take steps that later have to be retraced. Confident of His good purpose for us, we can guard against discouraging suggestions, such as "So many people are unemployed—how can I expect to land a job?" Instead, we can remember that our employment is a matter of divine law and that, as His children, He blesses us abundantly.
