Some years ago I suffered greatly from digestive difficulty and stomach problems. My mother, as well as other members of our family, had already undergone surgery for stomach ulcers. My father had, unfortunately, passed away from complications after one such operation. This all terrified me, and I felt I was just one more victim.
I took several types of stomach medication and followed a strict diet that forced me to deprive myself of foods I liked, so great was my fear of becoming ill. And it was all to no avail, for the problem continued.
Then one day my brother-in-law, who was already a Christian Scientist, talked to me and introduced me to a Christian Science practitioner, whom I asked to help me by praying for me.
