You're not trapped by the past
There are people who believe they can't do a thing about their lives because the past has trapped them where they are. If you feel this way, there is something you can do. Whatever your particular circumstances, it is possible to be free from a limiting past. The way to do it is to start from a spiritual, or Christly, basis.
The Bible is a proven source of help; its inspired pages contain practical, liberating teachings. Its promises extend to us today, no matter what our past has been. For example, Christ Jesus once said, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (John 8:36).
Who is the "Son" referred to in Jesus' statement? And how does the Son bring us freedom? According to the teachings of Christian Science, which is founded on the words and works of the Master, the Son is Christ—the divine message of God's all-presence and loving care for each of His children. Christ is always with us, constantly revealing the unchanging nature of God and of our real, God-created being.
