"My heart is singing: I have found the way"
"My heart is singing: I have found the way." These words from Hymn No. 64 in the Christian Science Hymnal have kept coming to me. Two healings have occurred as I considered the message of this hymn. The first came after a fall on the ice, in which bones appeared to be out of place in one leg, making it difficult for me to stand upright. I declared the truth that God was surrounding me with His love. On arriving home I called a practitioner to help me in prayer. After a short conversation with her, I began to sing hymns. As I sang, I heard a loud noise, and immediately I was able to stand upright; everything moved back into place, and I was fully free.
Another time on a very foggy night, my mom and I were driving home. We were in a country area with no street lights or markings on the sides of the road; we could not see where the road was, and on one side there was a sharp drop-off with no guardrail. We had been singing hymns and considering the message of guidance in the one already quoted. It suddently came to my mother to walk beside the car as I drove slowly, helping to guide us along. We continued on this way. It was about one mile to our home, and when we turned into our driveway, I realized there were about ten cars behind us—they had been following our taillights.
Last summer one of my legs became swollen and very painful. The thought came that maybe I should not plan to serve in my job as Reader on Sunday morning in our church. I prayed about this, knowing there was no place God had not been before me, and considering that church services involve healing. It was my rightful place to be there, and nothing could hinder me from doing God's will.
