Consistency

Man is no helpless pendulum,
swinging between inspiration
in the morning
and despair
at night;
knowing the truth one moment,
believing in matter the next.
No, man is not like that.
The perfect work of God,
he stands firm and free
in his divine originality.
Created for Love's glory,
he shines forth—
held in unfailing consistency
by his perfect source.
