Just following my husband's retirement, we turned wholeheartedly to God for direction. We had a sincere desire that His will be done. We took the necessary steps to sell one house and build, by long distance, a home in another state we had visited. As things progressed, we continued to pray for more spiritual understanding and for the opportunity to express God more in our daily lives. The move took place rapidly, and we are continuing to express much gratitude for the unfoldment of what we feel was God's plan. We find many opportunities to serve God and work for Him.

Shortly after our move a healing took place. Our son telephoned one day to say he'd injured himself; while he was restringing a bow, something had snapped, and he had no sight in one eye. He wanted to rely completely on Christian Science for his healing.

He agreed not to keep examining the eye and to keep it covered, as it was most distressing to look at. We were not intending to ignore it, but quite the opposite—to seek healing through prayer, in which we would know when it was appropriate to remove the covering.
