FROM HAND TO HAND
The Sentinel is meant to be shared. In a world that is increasingly hungry for spiritual meaning, the Sentinel provides vital nourishment. Here's how one of our readers shared it.Let us know of your experience in sharing the Sentinel .
In 1992 my husband passed on. I spent the next five months in the homes of my children. Last January, 1993, I arrived back in my home alone, thinking I would be leaving in a few weeks. How surprising it was to find myself going about singing and rejoicing over my sweet little home, my "sacred solitude." Before I knew it, I was renovating my house and getting ready to establish myself in my own home.
Then I heard that Sentinels were needed by the distribution committee of a local branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I remembered how, once many years ago, I had found a Sentinel in a distribution box and how it had comforted me. It was, in fact, my first spiritual consolation. So I subscribed to the Sentinel for the literature distribution committee. When it began coming into my home, what a delightful surprise it was to find myself just as hungry and thirsty as I had been fifty years ago. Everybody needs Truth, and Love. Make no mistake about it—Truth, Life, and Love are found in the Sentinel. The truth found there is the living water which Christ Jesus promised he would have given to the woman at the well if she had asked him for a drink.
