My love for Christian Science includes gratitude for the healings I have had as the result of prayer. I have been able to utilize the spiritual truths about man I was taught in the Christian Science Sunday School. I have been healed of injuries received in an automobile accident, of slipping on ice and injuring my shoulder, of grief after the passing on of a family member, and even of seasickness while in the Navy.
A couple of years ago I received a letter containing several false accusations about me. Prior to this time, if I had been falsely accused of something I could have easily dismissed it, knowing it was a lie and could not hurt me. But this time I was not able to dismiss it as easily, having found out that a copy of the letter had been sent to two people who mean very much to me. This fact made me resentful and angry. I knew it wasn't proper for me to harbor such ill feelings, yet I felt justified. And the more I dwelt on the apparent injustice done to me, the more resentment and anger were stockpiled in my thought.
