With unspeakable gratitude to God, I submit this testimony
With unspeakable gratitude to God, I submit this testimony.
During the summer and fall of 1990, I began to notice a change in my nine-year-old son's attitude about food and exercise; it seemed as if all food had suddenly become unpalatable to him, and he often talked about the need to exercise. His physical condition became quite alarming. Although I was disturbed, I wasn't sure where to begin to help him.
Out of concern, I attempted to control his behavior and force him to eat. Mealtime became a battleground. It seemed nothing I did could turn the situation around. Reasoning with him about the problem wasn't helpful, as he really couldn't explain his behavior and feelings. Threats did no good.
