FROM HAND TO HAND
The Sentinel is meant to be shared. In a world that is increasingly hungry for spiritual meaning, the Sentinel provides vital nourishment. Here's how one of our readers shared it.Let us know of your experience in sharing the Sentinel .
One day on my morning walk, I met a woman who was overcome with desperation about the lack of communication with her rebellious teenage son. I mentioned some books that I had found to be helpful in outlining specific ideas to develop listening and communicating skill. I dropped the books off at her house that day with a note expressing my support for her and her family. Later she called to thank me for caring enough to reach out to someone whom I had just met. Several weeks later she came by to return the books. Before she arrived, I looked through my Sentinels to find one that might specifically apply to her situation. We talked a bit when she arrived, and I offered the Sentinel to her as she was about to leave. She readily accepted it, commenting that she was a steadfast Christian and trusted God to tell her what she needed to know to resolve her family situation.
