The October 11, 1993, issue of the Sentinel looked at the subject "Health care and Christian healing." With health-care policy continuing to hold center stage as a leading topic of public concern, we felt the issue deserves ongoing attention.
While many have begun to explore the relationship between thought and health, an article published in Consumer Reports concluded, "Mind/body medicine is still far from being an exact science; many perplexing questions remain" (February 1993).
Christ Jesus' lifework provides the answers people are searching for. He demonstrated that what truly heals is, in fact, not the human mind but the power of the one divine Mind, God. Such healing, based on the law of God and realized through prayer, is both Christian and scientific. This week's Sentinel looks not only at the healing effects of scientific Christianity but also at the regeneration and spiritual growth that naturally accompany its practice.
