Looking back at 1993, we see so many changes in the world and in individual lives. There were regional conflicts and wars, and, at the same time, new peace initiatives between longtime adversaries.
What would you put on your list of the ten most significant things that prayer is contributing to? For some, the most important issues will come out of their families' lives. For others, the peace initiatives in the Middle East or steps forward in political reform in South Africa head the list.
As in the past year, the Sentinel in 1994 will be watching the world and addressing the major issues confronting men and women today. We can't get away from the fact, however, that the most significant thing to be thinking about is man's relationship to God and the healing and transforming effects of following Christ Jesus' example.
