A couple of years ago, when returning from visiting family...
A couple of years ago, when returning from visiting family in another state, I began to experience nausea and vomiting. My wife and I decided to spend that night at a motel.
I tried to get out of the car but couldn't stand on my legs; I had no control of my body. After several unsuccessful attempts to help me, my wife called the motel manager for assistance. They could not get me out of the car. The manager said she would get more help and called for paramedics.
All the while I was thinking "God is my refuge and strength. He is my shield and buckler. In Him I will trust." The paramedics said that I was completely dehydrated and should go to a hospital immediately, or that I would not survive. I declined because I wanted to be healed through Christian Science, but said I would appreciate it if they would get me inside the motel room. They were reluctant and continued to make very dire predictions. However, they did get a chair, put me in it, and carried me inside and to the bed. We thanked them for their kindness.
