The kingdom within— what does it mean?

We can begin to find the security and satisfaction we're looking for as we're humbly receptive to our creator.

The kingdom of God is a deeply cherished concept among Christians. As such, it's well worth considering what Jesus meant by such statements as "The kingdom of God is within you" and "The kingdom of God is at hand."

Obviously, the kingdom of God, or the kingdom of heaven, as Christ Jesus sometimes called it, refers to God's domain, where His authority and power are recognized and proved supreme. Jesus spoke often of the nature of this kingdom, likening it to everyday experiences and settings to which his listeners could relate. "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" begins the well-known, well-loved parable about the tares and wheat.
