FROM THE EDITORS

Recently we received a letter from a junior-high-school teacher. She asked if we could address the stereotyped perception held by many students, educators, and others that certain people or groups, because of their culture or background, just aren't capable of success.

Christian Science reveals that the potential of every child of God is unlimited, and through prayer a better understanding of this fact will bring much-needed hope to people—including children—everywhere.

Actually, everyone has God-given talents, and all have equal access to expressing those talents. The Bible tells us: "For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." We are "all made to drink into one Spirit" because, as God's loved children, we each depend utterly upon Him not only for ability and success but for our very life.
