About ten years ago a small lump developed at the base of my head. This caused severe headaches, forcing me sometimes to spend several days in bed.

The problem also made it very difficult for me to drive, for there was much pain when I looked over my shoulder to back the car up.

I was very fearful, but as I prayed with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, the lump completely dissolved in a few months' time. We studied many of Mary Baker Eddy's statements regarding fear and latent fear. One of my favorites found in Science and Health is: "Fear never stopped being and its action. The blood, heart, lungs, brain, etc., have nothing to do with Life, God."
