Write upon my heart
Your Word
So that I can see it
With my eyes open or closed.

Write upon my heart,
Lord, your Word
So that I can feel
The meaning of it.

Write upon my heart
Your Word of truth;
Write it with the light of love
So that I may live it.

Write, O Father of us all,
That I in turn may write
Upon another's heart,
Receiving love, and giving it.
