When my children were in elementary school, our daughter...
When my children were in elementary school, our daughter was one of three little girls who lived right next door to one another in our neighborhood. They had much fun playing together. The day came, sadly, when one family moved away. When our daughter was invited to spend a long weekend with them, she eagerly anticipated the reunion.
Then the very first night, her friend's mother called me in tears. The two girls had been riding bicycles at dusk, and our daughter had hit a patch of gravel and had a bad fall.
I spoke to our daughter on the telephone. Having been healed before in Christian Science, she naturally wanted to rely on prayer in this instance. I assured her she was in God's love, and that she could never fall out of it because He is all-presence and all-power. Living in that atmosphere of Love, we are sheltered from even the supposition that circumstances can be discordant. We talked about the impossibility of accident or injury in God's kingdom.
