God's help: at hand right now
If healing is needed, time doesn't have to be a factor.
"Mrs. Fisher , do you think Jeff will be able to run? The two-hundred-yard dash is scheduled to start in a few minutes."
My son's track coach needed a quick answer. We were at the All-Conference Track Meet, and Jeff's participation was threatened by a painful, recurring hip injury. Naturally, I wanted to give an affirmative reply, but could I? Jeff himself was unsure and was looking to me for guidance.
I reminded Jeff and myself that our help was at hand. As the Psalmist says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help trouble." The Bible assures us that we are never separated from God and His spiritual ideas. I suggested that Jeff listen for God's special message to him.
