Can there be progress without negative side effects?
We have something to contribute to the welfare of our country— progress based on spiritual growth.
Original in Spanish
In recent times there have been great and rapid changes happening in many parts of the world. We all have seen images on television that have moved us or have read in the press with what joy and emotion people in authoritarian societies celebrated newly obtained liberty. Later news, however, often concentrates on what would seem to be the other side of the coin. These radical changes, especially in economic systems, call for a great adjustment, which may cause the citizens to suffer shortages in many cases.
Does it really have to be this way? In human experience it would appear to be so. We solve one problem, and on the other hand, seem to create new ones.
