One night when I was thirteen years old, I woke up and started vomiting. I tried to report this to my daddy. But when he called back to me, I couldn't respond aloud.
Then I remembered the "Daily Prayer" in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy and I also remembered the Lord's Prayer, with its spiritual interpretation found in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Praying in this way helped me. Very quickly all sickness ceased and I was healed. By the time my father reached me, I was well. And I continued my domestic tasks the next day.
Through Christian Science I proved the nothingness of superstition. I was sent by my daddy to buy palm oil late in the evening. I went to two sellers and they said it was night so they wouldn't sell it to me. I went to the third seller and pleaded greatly, and she boldly told me that no one will measure it for me because it was night and that one would suffer blindness for measuring such oil at night. I told her that Christ, Truth, had buried all superstition through Jesus. She told me that if I would measure the oil myself, she would then sell it to me.
