In a wilderness?
We may be deep in the forest or in deep trouble. Still, God is there.
A Wilderness can make us feel lonely and afraid and unsure of the way. Other times we may be inspired by the great beauty and majesty of nature, with quiet all around, and we rejoice to see each new vista.
We don't need to set foot in the great outdoors to feel we've arrived in a wilderness, though. Perhaps we've made quick strides toward a career goal, only to find the final steps to realizing that goal overgrown with unanticipated problems or delays. Or maybe we've been praying diligently, but complete healing of a particular problem seems elusive. What do we do?
Wherever we are, whatever the situation, the way is always open to God. God is present every moment, everywhere. The Bible says it this way: "Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord."
