The 1991 Normal class
In December the 1991 Normal class was held by the Board of Education, as provided for in the Manual of The Mother Church See Man., Art. XXVI, Sect. 4 . by Mary Baker Eddy.
The teacher of the class, elected by The Christian Science Board of Directors, is Jean Stark Hebenstreit, C.S.B., of Kansas City, Missouri, practitioner and teacher of Christian Science.
Mrs. Hebenstreit is a lifelong Christian Scientist. She is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music of the University of Missouri, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas. After a brief career in real estate management, she entered the full-time public practice of Christian Science and became listed in The Christian Science Journal in 1955. She became an authorized teacher of Christian Science in 1964. Mrs. Hebenstreit was formerly a member of The Christian Science Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society, and The Christian Science Board of Lectureship; as teacher, she is currently a member of the Board of Education. Mrs. Hebenstreit taught the 1985 Normal class.
