Thanks to Christian Science, I have known God as my Physician, Teacher, guide, and friend throughout my life. Adhering to the rules of Science, our family has experienced healings of broken bones, gallstones, pneumonia, ear infections, accident-related problems, so-called childhood diseases (including a severe case of measles), kidney infection, a condition that resulted in immobility, and numerous proofs of protection.
Science was very much a shield and staying power when my husband passed on when our daughter was a teenager. It gave us the strength and courage to go forward.
Facing me was an almost overwhelming sense of loss. I also needed to gain a deeper, more unlimited sense of security, income, and confidence that I could realize a complete sense of home and overcome the fear of the unfamiliar world of business. All this was accomplished with the supportive prayers of a Christian Science practitioner who helped us to see that our good was not gone; that God's law is always operating and is in control of our lives; that our happiness and well-being did not depend on person, place, or things; that God was our provider as He always had been.
