Late in 1990, I began to suffer from a debilitating illness, which became steadily worse. This caused me to pray earnestly for healing, taking a firm stand for my spiritual perfection. I asked a Christian Science practitioner to provide prayerful assistance.
I tried not to be impressed by the seriousness of the physical symptoms, which included weakness, difficulty in walking, shortness of breath, and loss of weight. In addition I began to experience a severe case of flu.
