The
admonition to "act your age" is becoming increasingly difficult to pin down.
About our cover — We need an uprising in thought in regard to age classifications. Fresh convictions about the true nature of life as spiritual impel this uprising.
People try to hang on to youth or a facsimile of it. They try to extend middle age in the hopes of putting off aging. Yet our strength and freshness come from something timeless — spiritual manhood and womanhood, in God's likeness.
"[Teacher] Sheila Henry has a trio of new students in her honors Shakespeare class at Wilton [, Connecticut,] High School.
Sometimes the weight of our past presses down on our present. As we learn more of our spiritual wholeness, not only does the burden lift but healing and transformation occur.
If we are looking for safety, for something that will always be with us, the Bible points us in the right direction. It shows us the power and presence of divine Love.
Retirement was only the beginning for an acquaintance of this writer. While the job changed, commitment, dignity, and responsibility didn't.
"... I believe the capacity to be youthful lies within us all. It has to do, first and foremost, with attitude and then activity and involvement. . . ."
The biggest problem may not be that the salt has lost its savor but that we have been misled into thinking it has!
Christ Jesus engaged the hearts and minds of his followers. They felt impelled to prove his teachings practical by healing others.

Since 1903, The Herald of Christian Science has been published by The Christian Science Publishing Society as a sister publication to The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel.
The Editors of the Sentinel hear from kids and grown-ups all over the world.
It
was the last day of a three-day course in white-water kayaking.
I praise God for hearing my silent prayer and leading me to Christian Science.
My gratitude to God for Christian Science is unbounded.
Several years ago I developed lack of control in a kidney function.
