"Shepherd, show me how to go / O'er the hillside steep."...
"Shepherd, show me how to go / O'er the hillside steep." These words from a poem by Mrs. Eddy have inspired me ever since I was a small child. The Shepherd has constantly guided and protected me, even on the steepest of hillsides.
Members of four generations of my family and my husband's family have been healed, comforted, and protected through reliance on the teachings of Christian Science. Many of these experiences have been attested to in testimonies or articles previously published in periodicals of The Christian Science Publishing Society.
A few years ago, after a long teaching career, I decided to reduce my teaching load to a part-time schedule so that I could spend more time serving my branch church and also working in another field of interest. Then this past fall I stopped teaching entirely so that I could devote more time to church activities. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve the Cause of Christian Science in various capacities.
