Prayer that knows no bounds
Sentinel readers are accustomed to seeing articles and testimonies marked "original in French" or "original in Spanish"—or any of the many native languages of our contributors.
For nearly a century this magazine's family of readers and writers has literally known no bounds. And that's because practical Christianity knows no bounds.
Occasionally, the Sentinel spotlights a particular "corner" of the globe. An issue last December focused on Nigeria; the June 24 Sentinel included a special section on Eastern Europe.
This issue carries several articles from writers in Brazil. The articles speak of the beauty of this Portuguese-speaking nation's tropical and temperate zones—but also of the practicality of prayer in healing so-called "tropical diseases," supporting intelligent choice in elections, overcoming transportation challenges. And even more fundamentally, they show that wherever one may reside—whatever the climate, economic and social systems—the power of scientific Christian prayer to heal and transform lives is undiminished.
